This is my favorite way to take photos because when using a smartphone or camera, your attention is always on the display, which can disrupt the travel or adventure experience. Most of the time you neither fully enjoy the moment nor capture it well. With the GO 3 this is no longer a problem. As soon as you press the shutter button, you can forget about the act of taking a photo and immerse yourself in the experience. Thanks to voice control, you don't even have to press the shutter button. Just command the camera to start recording and it will do so. The magnetic mounting rope is also equipped with an adjustable angle pad that allows you to adjust the position of the camera to suit your needs.
Versatile mounting options
In addition to the chest holder, the GO 3 can also be attached to the headgear with a simple clip. Since the position of the hat is close to eye level, the shots are very close to the first person perspective. The swivel mount at the bottom has a nanogel adhesive that allows it to be attached to any smooth surface. The adjustable angle offers endless shooting perspectives. The swivel mount also features a 1/4" screw connector once unscrewed, making it compatible with other accessories.
Impressive performance
As an upgraded version of the second generation, the GO 3 has received a comprehensive performance increase. The maximum resolution has been increased from 1440p to 2.7K. The microphone has also been switched from a single microphone to a dual microphone setup. The two microphones can form an array and offer three modes for different recording situations. Stereo mode is suitable for normal content, wind noise reduction mode is ideal for sports activities, and directional mode is perfect for effective voice recordings. The GO 3 also features FlowState stabilization mode, which ensures smooth and stable recordings. Different situations require different levels of stabilization, and the GO 3 offers options for static, walking and running modes. Different shots require different angles, with wide-angle shots being preferred for action shots and linear shots being more natural for selfies. GO 3's FreeCapture mode provides flexibility in post-production, allowing you to adjust various settings including field of view, orientation (landscape or portrait), stabilization strength and horizon compensation. This mode simplifies the shooting process as no presets are required and you can start recording with a simple press of the shutter button. However, it should be noted that FreeCapture mode supports a maximum resolution of 1440p. If you need higher resolution, regular video mode is recommended.
Adaptable to Various Environments
The GO 3 is designed to handle diverse environments. It is waterproof up to 5 meters without requiring additional accessories, making it perfect for swimming, diving, and water sports. The expansion case has an IPX4 protection rating, ensuring resistance to splashes and rain.
GO 3's improved heat dissipation eliminates the limitation of recording time and allows continuous recording as long as the battery and storage space are sufficient. Battery life has also been extended. The standalone case now offers 45 minutes of recording time for 1080p videos, and when paired with the charging case, the maximum battery life can reach 170 minutes. The internal storage is available with a maximum capacity of 128GB and I highly recommend going for a higher capacity version to avoid constant storage management. But even if the memory is full, you can easily transfer the recordings to your smartphone via wireless transmission, which is relatively quick.
A beloved device to take with you
A simple criterion for determining whether a device is exceptional is whether you are willing to carry it with you. In my case, I always have the GO 3 with me, whether I'm traveling for leisure, taking photos or attending an event. It is incredibly compact and easy to carry, you don't need a backpack and it takes up very little space in your bag. Simply attach it to your chest and you're ready to go. What's more, the GO 3 is so easy to use that you can start recording with just one press of the shutter button. It's perfect for capturing moments of everyday life and unexpected surprises without drawing attention to yourself.
